CARE NET’S YOUTH PREVENTION PROGRAM

We offer the best in sex education to our county schools by using “Choosing the Best” a research based, abstinence centered curriculum. Since 1993, over 4,000,000 students nationwide have completed this program. A peer-reviewed published study, http://www.choosingthebest.com/research-results, showed that students who received Choosing the Best were 1.5 times less likely to initiate sex than those in the control group who did not receive the program. Choosing the Best strives to educate teens on the health advantages of delayed sexual activity and empower them to make the healthiest choices, in order to reduce unplanned pregnancies and STD’s, improving life outcomes for teens and their families. The The Administration for Children, Youth and Families (ACYF) within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has completed a thorough and objective review of the medical and scientific information in Choosing the Best programs and found them to be medically accurate. Choosing the Best is committed to providing medically accurate information, based on research from sources such as peer-reviewed, published journals and government agency publications (e.g. CDC).

Choosing the Best materials are supplemental to the KNOW state approved curriculum and help schools complete Health associated RCW's along with HIV/AIDSs mandates in grades 6th through 12th.
