Our Centers

Mission Statement

Acknowledging that every human life begins at conception and is worthy of protection, Care Net offers compassion, hope, and help to anyone considering abortion by presenting them with realistic alternatives and Christ-centered support through our life-affirming network of pregnancy centers, churches, organizations, and individuals.

History

Care Net Pregnancy Center (operated until December of 1997 as Crisis Pregnancy Center) opened in 1992 in response to our county being ranked #1 in the state per capita for teen pregnancy. A steering committee was formed to launch a crisis pregnancy center similar to others in Washington. With the assistance of the Christian Action Council of Falls Church, VA, the committee received non-profit status in 1995. A director was hired and training as required by Care Net (formerly Christian Action Council) was held in July 1995. We opened our doors officially July 31, 1995.

We assembled our youth prevention program called CATCH (Choose Abstinence To Choose Health) in 2001. Under CATCH, Care Net facilitates a teen retreat annually in March. In May 2008, we expanded and opened up our second center in Oroville. In September 2014, we expanded again by opening up our third center in Brewster. Most recently, in August of 2017, we opened up our fourth center in Grand Coulee. Currently, we are fundraising to implement a mobile ultrasound unit that will travel our county.

Meet Our Staff

Angel Ross

Hi there! My name is Angel Ross. I have been with Care Net for 18 years. I love being the women and families that walk through our doors. I married my high school sweetheart, Bruce Ross in 1993. After trying to get pregnant for 10 years we miraculously welcomed our baby girl, Faith, in 2003. The Lord has blessed us with a little farm, lots of chickens, pigs and a sweet lab named Marley. I love to decorate and paint. I love everything about the shabby-chic farmhouse look.

Charee Wilson

Omak and Finance Manager

After 7 years of doing childcare, Charee is excited to be moving on to something new. She is doing something she feels God has been preparing her for and leading her to for a while. Charee is so ready to minister to women and teens in crisis pregnancy situations. She is a Pastor's wife at the Okanogan Valley Nazarene Church, worship leader and mom of 6.

Dottie Bowlin

Oroville Manager

I volunteered in Okanogan for seven years & now have been in Oroville for eight years. I also facilitate two bible studies. The PACE study (Post-Abortion Counseling & Education) points men & women toward healing. “The Path to Sexual Healing” can help in a variety of situations. Dan & I have been married 18 years. We have three adult children, two grandsons & two great-grandsons. Our youngest son Nathan helps me in our small nut orchard & big garden. We love to worship at our church Valley Christian Fellowship. God has blessed me mightily! He is a good Father.

Teresa Medina

Brewster Manager

Hola! I have been with Care Net for over 10 years serving our Hispanic population in Omak. Before volunteering at Care Net I was a client. Because of how much Care Net helped me, I wanted to volunteer so that I could help others. I am a mother of three children Abraham, Natalie and Alfonso.

Kelsey Nachtigal

Grand Coulee Manager

Hi there! My name is Kelsey Nachtigal. I’m the wife to my wonderful husband Aaron, and together we have two daughters, Charlotte and Ruby. We live on a funny farm with 4 dogs, 3 cats, 2 goats, 1 cow, 16 chickens, and a garden that sometimes produces more weeds than veggies :). I’ve been blessed to be a stay at home mom, and also work as a caregiver from time to time. I’m thankful for a God that wants to reach all people, right where they’re at in life. And that he wants to use all people to show the goodness and hope he offers. I love witnessing this in action at Care Net.

Lois Rhoads

CATCH Program Director - Care Net’s youth prevention program

Hi! I have been with Care Net for 21 years. In 2000, I began introducing the CATCH program to the school up an down our valley. I also began a piano studio in 1996 and still currently teach piano. My husband and I have been married 31 years. We have 3 beautiful biological children that are raised and married. We have one grand baby and proud to announce we have another on the way. Currently, we are the legal guardians of 4 precious boys. Spending time with my family in the outdoors is my favorite pastime.

Rachel Harris

Honorary Volunteer

Hello! My name is Rachel Harris. I have the privilege of wearing many hats in life. I am the wife to my amazing husband and best friend Ethan and mother to our three active teenage children; Elijah, Evan, and Aubrey. I am also a full time missionary serving on the Colville Reservation and a Chaplain for Okanogan County Juvenile Detention Center. And, most recently I have become the proud manager of the Grand Coulee Care Net Pregnancy Center. God has blessed me with a very full life where I have the privilege of showing Christ's love in very practical ways on a daily basis. I so look forward to seeing all that God has planned for Care Net in the Grand Coulee Area.
